2009 B-GIRLS REUNION

Base member Dennis "Frenchy" Fuqua sent Michael
Williamson a piece of Bonefish (SS-582) Bridge Planking
that a friend acquired in Charleston where the Bonefish
(SS-582) was scrapped after the fire in 1988. He
asked Michael to distribute the planking as he saw fit
to Shipmates. Michael decided to acquire
"Challenge" Coins to go along with the pieces cut from
this piece to make "mementos" for people he thought
would cherish these pieces of their history. He
handed them out at the 50 year B-girls Reunion, except
for shipmates Kent Weekly and Mike Kelsey which were
distributed locally. |
