OBIT

Paul Everett Perris Paul passed away February 7, 2010 at home in McKinleyville.  He was born May 9, 1950 in Burbank, California.  At age 9 his family moved to McKinleyville where lived until age 18 when he joined the Navy.  His 12 years in the Navy were mostly spent during the Vietnam War.  He has remained friends with many of his Navy buddies.  He is survived by his son Paul Perris and wife, Adesa of San Diego, his mother Janice Perris of McKinleyville, his brother Michael DeVeney and family of Lake Arrowhead, California and former wife, Melinda, of Arcata.  He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Perris. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 20th at 2:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 14th & J, Arcata.  The Honor Guard will provide a part of the service.  Music was an important part of Paul's life.  He was very talented and played many musical instruments.  The family would like to thank so many of Paul's friends for their thoughtfulness, especially Aaron and Paul's VFW buddies.
